’tis the season…

Merry Christmas everyone! This is one of the many photos that we took in the studio trying to get the family Christmas shot this year – gotta love that self-timer button! Hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year. We are officially on holiday until the 4th, and will be back on deck after then. See you in 2008!

DWF Competition – People Category

Recently I was delighted to be one of only 10 photographers shortlisted for an international Portrait competition with DWF (digital wedding forum), a photography forum with members from the all over the globe. The image chosen was one of a friend of mine, Willow, during a session we did just for the fun of it! I try and do several shoots each year which have no other purpose than to stretch my creative muscles, so it was nice to have this one do well in a competition. The top prize is a beautiful telephoto lens which would be a fabulous addition to my kit :) . The winning image will be announced in early Jan.

“Destination Weddings”, part two…

My other foray across the waters for a wedding was down to The Chateau, Tongoriro. Wow, what a spectacular place to have a wedding! We got some absolutely beautiful light and some moody clouds as the sun went down. Magic. Mimi and Matt had such a gorgeous wedding, surrounded by 50 or so family and friends that had travelled from all over the world. They are such a warm, loving and fun couple, and it was an honour to share their day with them.
