Natalie and Stephen – Waiheke Wedding at The Estate, Church Bay
Natalie and Stephen had a beautiful wedding day despite the rain that threatened (and arrived!). They got married at The Estate in Church Bay and were planning to tie the knot on the front lawn but the inclement weather meant that they chose to use the marquee instead… just as well because it BUCKETED down during their ceremony. If rain on a wedding day is a sign of good luck (as the old wives tales go) then Natalie and Stephen are blessed beyond measure!
Natalie looked just gorgeous and was great fun to photograph…
The marquee at The Estate makes for the perfect wet weather option, not that you would think that you would need it for a January wedding! (yes I know, I am VERY behind on my blogging duties – it’s been a busy ‘wedding season’!)
I love the proud look on Stephen’s face as he walks down the aisle with his new bride.
The rain had started to let up by the time we had finished the family group photos so we headed away down to Oneroa Beach for a little while and came upon this cool old boat. Stephen and Natalie are keen boaties so it was perfect as a prop.
A wedding just isn’t a wedding without a crazy running sequence… too funny!
Natalie’s beautiful flowers were the perfect complement to her gorgeous soft grey wedding dress. The flowers were provided by Lotta at the Waiheke Flower Company. Hair and Make-up were by Phoenix Hair Design in Oneroa.
We took a few more photos on the front lawn of The Estate, which has a stunning view out to Auckland.
Just beautiful! Thanks for a fun and happy day Natalie and Stephen –
