Onetangi Beach wedding on Waiheke Island
Philippa and Andy had a gorgeous beach wedding on what MUST have been the hottest day of summer this year! Lance and I were seriously regretting out customary black wedding attire. The men of the bridal party were much more appropriately dressed in white shirts, rolled up khaki trousers and sandals.
Philippa looked lovely in a simple white dress which fell to just above the knee – a perfect dress for a beach wedding at one of Waiheke’s most glorious beaches.

Little 3 year old Ella was charged with looking after the rings and unbeknownst to the bridesmaids and bride who were already making their way down the toi toi aisle these precious items had taken a dive into the sand! Frantic scrambling ensued and miraculously the rings were found in the nick of time and tied VERY tightly onto their ring cushion!

Check out the concentration in the shot below - did I mention that the rings were tied on VERY tightly…

Onetangi Beach was looking spectacular as always (no digital manipulation here, I promise).

After the beach photos we went up to Pukeatua Reserve at the top of Trig Hill Road – stunning views out to the city, some cabbage trees (my faves) and a great big open stretch of grass to play on…

This final shot below is one of my faves from the wedding – you don’t have to look far on this blog to see that I am a bit of a fan of sun flare; I think it just creates a lovely feel in a photo, imparts a certain romance to an image, IMHO.

A very fun, relaxed, stylish and enjoyable Waiheke beach wedding. Thanks Philippa and Andy, it was a real pleasure being part of your day.
