Ahhhhh, what a gorgeous wedding I have to show off today!
Kirianna and David were married at Stonyridge Vineyard – another of my favourite Waiheke wedding venues. They had a day filled with fun and laughter with a large bridal party of twelve fabulous bridemaids and groomsmens which meant that there was never a dull moment (as you will see later in the post!). Kiri’s beautiful flowers were by Amber at Red Creative, hair and make up by Kate Walsh and her stunning dress was by Maggie Sottero.

This shot below makes me laugh as Kirianna braces herself for the tug of the lacing!

What a total babe!

David, the handsome groom, was looking very relaxed when we arrived at Stonyridge. I adored the buttonholes adornments the guys were wearing – tiny tightly furled pungas on an open fern – very cool!

I was not looking through the view finder for the shot below as I was laying the camera down on the ground to get the low angle so it wasn’t until I got home and started looking at the images from the wedding that I saw this little gem… always nice to get a bit of a surprise! (And no, future bride and grooms, that is NOT an invitation to mischief!)

And from the ‘it seemed like a good idea at the time” files… LOL! Luckily the guy on the ground was not my groom and to the best of my knowledge no pants were split in the making of this photo. Too funny!

And the lovely little reception table details…

Thanks Kiri and David for a fabulous, fun day – we had a blast and loved sharing your wedding with you…

As of tomorrow (Friday) you can now pop in and see us at our new location on the corner of Oceanview Rd and Tui Street in Oneroa. Oneroa is the first little Waiheke township you see to as you come up from the Ferry and the gallery is right on the second roundabout and super close to the bus stop. Official opening hours are 10:30 – 4pm weekdays and weekends/evenings by appointment. Come and say “Hi”! We are still having some teething problems with the phone lines but our new phone number should be active by Monday. It is a nice, easy number to remember… 372-2444 (or if you say it, 3-7-double two-triple four – see, told you it was easy!).

We are back at home now after a week long road trip in our new campervan! It was her maiden voyage and she did pretty swimmingly (not counting one little “I won’t start” moment in Taihape which was nothing that a little sanding of the contacts couldn’t fix). We have arrived back to a touch of madness with the new shop/gallery/studio opening date now only days away. We have just been told that there is a hold up with the signage and most of my new and exciting products/display albums are set to arrive about 5 days after the official opening! Sigh. Oh well, such is life.
We have moved the official opening date to Thursday the 25th which is also the day of our P*A*R*T*Y! So if you were planning to pop in on Monday and say hi… you may wish to wait a few more days!

Looking forward to our November weddings the first of which is this Saturday… yay!!

The ‘fit-out’ for our brand spanking new gallery is steadily progressing and we plan to be open for business on Monday the 22nd November. Can’t wait to be in there…
