Just found out that I was one of the Wedding Wise top rated vendors last year! COOL!

Wedding wise is a great site for locating all the right people for your wedding day and it allows previous brides to rate their vendors so that other can see how they really were on the day. So previous brides please feel free to rate me…. but only if you were completely happy. Otherwise, please disregard this post, LOL!

Davida’s lovely wedding has been featured on the blog site of her stationary designer The Hummingbird Card Company, who did those amazing die-cut cards and all the lovely little butterflies. Check it out HERE

Thanks for the patience of those of you who have been trying to reach me for the last week – our family was whisked away on a week long holiday to celebrate my parent’s 40 wedding anniversary… SUCH a lovely holiday and our kids had a ball swimming around and visiting the theme parks of Surfer’s Paradise with their cuzzies.
No sign of the floods where we were although we saw some pics out of Ipswitch in the papers and it all looked very frightening. Crazy to think we were so close and yet so removed from it. Lance was actually born in Ipswitch and remembers the 1974 Brisbane floods quite vividly even though he was only three at the time. Our hearts go out to those in need over there.

OK, am beginning to attack the mountain of emails now…

‘Glamour Plus’ would be the best way to describe Davida and Chris’ wedding last week at Delamore Lodge! All manner of gorgeousness surrounded us from the stunning attire of all the guests to the many little beautiful touches made by Davida’s own hand, and of course the wonderful location of Delamore Lodge over looking a sparkling sea with boats dancing and bobbing along on the swell. Ahhh, it really was a perfect Waiheke day with enough of a breeze to take the edge off the summer heat. Davida’s hair and make-up was by Jo and Sophie from Bettjemans in Auckland and her flowers were created by Michele from Roses Florist in Mt Eden. I have loads of lovely photos to show so without further ado…

I love this shot below

This is such a beautiful look that Davida is giving her dad (who was making an excellent job of being a veil holder for me).

Davida’s family were all so full of life – her Grandmother was just gorgeous!

Chris the handsome groom…

We went down to Surfdale Beach for our creative shoot – it’s so lovely and quiet there which made a nice change from the throngs of people that visit the more mainstream areas of Waiheke over the first week in January. It is neat to know so many great little locations to avoid the crowds and Surfdale Beach is one of my faves….

Then we headed back to Delamore Lodge for a few more shots around their gorgeous grounds before their reception began.

Davida and Chris’ reception area look stunning with a really lavish and delicate feel to it. Little gift bags for the guests all hand sewn and strung with sparkly decorations and dozens of butterflies hidden amid the hydraengas -just lovely.

Thanks Davida and Chris, it was a pleasure to be part of your lovely wedding - thanks for a fabulous day…

A gorgeous wedding coming your way today – Georgina and Tom tied the knot in style at Plumbago Hill, a new venue here on Waiheke. Well, actually it is an almost ready new venue here on Waiheke but Georgina is friends with the owners and so snuck in early to have her beautiful ceremony within their lovely grounds. LOVE shooting in new locations and we have some real goodies coming up this wedding season.

Tom and the boys got ready for the big day at a private residence along the Strand in Onetangi. It was very, very hot when we first arrived so the boys decided to have a dip in the ocean and indulge in the age-old sport of piggy back wrestling … I love my job. Can’t be too many job descriptions which include ‘watch grown men frolic in the ocean’…

Meanwhile, all was calm in the girl’s world at the penthouse apartment of The Sands with some seriously fabulous shoes on display and the wonderful Hannah Bylo in attendance making everyones hair look super glam. Make up was by Deb who is an Auckland freelance MUA (will add website details when I get them…)

Starting to get excited…!

Lance caught the awesome shot below of Georgina’s dad coming in and seeing her for the first time. Lovely.

B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L… I adore these shots. The gorgeous and delicate floral bouquets were created by Virginia at Waiheke Flower Gallery.

Plumbago Hill here we come… the ceremony was lovely with lots of singing including some gorgeous Hymns.

G&T – as a surprise their initials were mowed into the hillside.

We continued on down to Onetangi Beach for their creative session photos. Georgina and Tom’s bridal car was an exceptionally shiny beauty from First Class Classics with Ross Stewart at the wheel. These are his feet… sorry Ross, couldn’t resist – just made me laugh!

Then on we went to Mudbrick Vineyard where their reception was to be held. We had a little bit of time around the grounds at Mudbrick so went exploring and amongst other things we discovered a somewhat random chair amongst the vines… as you do.

Georgina and Tom had named their reception tables after areas of the world that they had visited together and included a photo from each location on the tables which I thought was a really cool touch. I always love seeing all the great ideas that my couples come up with to make their days unique. Thanks Georgina and Tom, Lance and I loved being part of your wonderful wedding day…. I hope you enjoy this little preview of your photos. xx
