There is a lot of talk about ‘vintage’ these day, but it’s not often that you actually get an authentic vintage dress, estimated to be around 70-80 years old! My lovely bride last week was wearing just such a piece of history, purchased from a vintage shoppe in London (Elizabeth Avey) and it looked absolutely fabulous on her. Simple, elegant, understated… and apparently very very soft and silky (according to her adoring groom). Oh yeah…. on with the show!
Justin’s tie tying skills seemed to be a little shy in my presence – it took a few attempts to get the perfect knot and he assured me that as soon as I stepped away it all fell into place. Geez man, give a girl a complex!
Some of the gorgeous details of Anna’s wedding day…
Below is a photograph of the very lovely Vicki from Wildflower (camera shy!) enjoying showing Anna her bouquet; an eclectic mix of beautiful, delicate blooms… fresh and gorgeous – I loved it. And it’s pretty obvious from the below photos that Anna did too!
Anna’s Dad holds the mirror so Anna can check out her headpiece…
Love all these images of Anna – she was such a relaxed and happy bride to photograph!
Anna and Justin decided to do their creative photo shoot before the ceremony and while she watched Justin walk to the bottom of the garden for their first look meeting, Anna admitted that after ‘keeping mum’ about Justin’s nickname for their entire nine year love affair, she accidentally let slip her pet name for him at her Hen’s Night, much to the gleeful amusement of her sisters and mum. Cute pet name Justin… 😉
And then we were off for our photography session around beautiful Waiheke…
It was a little windy… OK, it was really windy! We very nearly had a real Marilyn Monroe moment with the dress as you can see below. Of course I tried to get it to happen again but to no avail.
Love this shot of Lance’s below with the Kennedy Pt wall stretching out from here to eternity (have you had enough of my vintage references yet?).
Their ceremony was held at Goldie Vineyard, high on the hill by the fabulous pohutakawa tree. We arrived early to take some photos around the wonderful grounds there. (For the record I am officially in LOVE with Goldie Vineyard as a venue! Not just the surroundings but the attention to detail and service and everything that goes with it – top notch).
Time flew by and before we knew it, the ceremony was approaching…
Justin tries not to look as Anna approaches….
The Goldie Room looked gorgeous, decked out with loads of lovely flowers on the tables
Thanks so much Anna and Justin – we had a great day with you and your lovely families celebrating your wedding. All the very best for a gorgeous life together in the years to come! xx
