Tama and Tash are a kiwi couple living in the UK who returned to New Zealand to marry on Waiheke Island. I must admit that I knew when I met them that the wedding was going to be exceptionally stylish and I wasn’t disappointed in the least! Every little detail had been thought of and excepting a couple of bits and pieces that were accidentally left in the UK (!), the day went off without a hitch.
Tama and his groomsmen got ready for the day at a house in Enclosure Bay with a spectacular outlook. There was a bustling and busy vibe when we arrived, with things happening in every corner of the house.
Tash and Tama exchanged gifts for the wedding day, with Tash giving him a scent from Mont Blanc, the location he proposed to her from on their travels.
Cutest ever ring-bearer!
And his cousin, the handsome bearer of the keepsake box!
At The Estate the reception was the picture of elegance, set up by the family using flowers from Auckland florist Willoughby Road
Tash’s dress was A-mazing. A design from the collection of Maggie Sottero, it made the trip all the way from the UK and weighed 5.7kgs… impressive!
A London photo-booth and a double-decker bus were just a couple of the many “UK” touches on the day
George brought out the keepsake box, handcrafted by Tash’s grandfather and I spied on the men waiting nervously for the ceremony to begin through one of the top windows which overlooked the ceremony site. Given it’s visibility, a couple of the bridesmaids thought it prudent to commando crawl under the windows so as not to be seen… funny!
After some family photographs, we spent some time around the Estate before heading down to Oneroa Beach for a few photos with Tash, Tama and their bridal party.
I LOVE these ones…
Awesome! What a great wedding to capture and with a wicked haka to end it in true kiwi style. Love it! Thanks Tash and Tama, your day was just gorgeous. All the best for a happy and wonderful life together. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek of the many photos coming your way soon…
